Research Support Manager 2
Beth Thompson, Ph.D., is a Research Support Manager 2 in the lab of Dr. Laura Niedernhofer, Director of the Biology of Aging and Metabolism. She is interested in researching how DNA repair defects contribute to senescence, premature aging and age-related cancers in the skin. She studies rare genetic diseases with DNA repair defects, like xeroderma pigmentosum, for her research and for developing precision medicines. Outside of science she enjoys spending time with her three children, her dog (a Chihuahua mix) and baking.
