Spatialomics Research Lead | Researcher 4
Sam earned his B.A. in Biology from the University of Minnesota Morris in 2018. A research background in neurodegeneration led him to the Niedernhofer group in 2022. Sam currently holds a joint appointment between MIBAM and the University Imaging Centers, primarily focused on SenNet efforts to map cellular senescence using cutting-edge spatialomics technologies. Check out sennetconsortium.org, uic.umn.edu, and spatialomics.umn.edu for more!
Away from the bench, you'll likely find Sam trying to keep his own senescent cells at bay by staying active outdoors and using plenty of sunscreen (reapplied often).
