Chathurika Henpita, PhD. is a postdoctoral associate in the laboratory of Dr. Laura Niedernhofer, Director of the Institute for the Biology of Aging and Metabolism at the University of Minnesota. She is interested in understanding the link between mitochondrial dysfunction and cellular senescence and detecting the drugs that can improve mitochondrial function while reducing cellular senescence to advance the quality of cells. Her outside interests include spending time with her toddler, crafting, hiking and reading books.
